SWEET HONESTY PINTOS was founded in 1981, with the purchase of a stunning black tobiano (skewbald) stallion – named DIAMOND ARROW AZTEX REBEL (AZZIE).  Azzie was 13.3hd aged five, at the time; having been bred in NSW and shown successfully as a colt in led and ridden. His sire was a lovely APSB Dandaloo Rebel, a beautiful purple black, Azzie’s dam was a bay tobiano mare (believed to be part arab).

So began the relationship with Azzie as my best mate; he had a fantastic quiet nature, and believing more in Nature’s way, I ran Azzie with my mares. Azzie was a real gentleman with his mares and foals.  Over the next 25 years that I owned him, over 100 foals were sired by him.  He was a very prepotent stallion, and really stamped all his offspring with his distinct beautiful head.
Many of Azzie’s progeny went all over Australia, where they excelled in show or in breeding.  One such son was Sweet Honesty Geronimo, who went to WA and became a leading sire there, he was also proven homozygous (which meant he only threw pintos), his offspring are still excelling in show and performance there. 

In Victoria, Azzie had many champions in the show ring, to name just a few; Sweet Honesty Jiemba, excelled in any field she competed in, she was multi champ in Vic. And SA, a brilliant games pony and to top it off, on her retirement, she won the Mustang Challenge at Pinto State Show. This was an amazing effort, competing under three judges, in led and ridden; beating mares and stallions that were champions themselves.

Sweet Honesty Indian Dream was successful in the show ring, joined a bit later by his full brother Sweet Honesty Silver Arrow (nearly identical brothers); and they were full brothers to above mentioned Sweet Honesty Jiemba. Others that excelled in performance included; Sweet Honesty Midnight Serenade, Sweet Honesty Rebellious Girl and Sweet Honesty Madonna (mare repurchased and breeding Pintos again for me).  Another pinto son excelled in Western Pleasure and Trail, winning Hi Point Performance Horse three years running, his name Sweet Honesty Raindancer.
Azzie also sired solid sons who excelled everywhere – they were Pazzaz of Rosewood (multi show hunter champ & qualifier at Grand National), Tulla of Rosewood (successful eventer & multi champ) and Aziz of Rosewood (highly successful adult riding show hunter, top levels in State).
Aztex Rebel died at age 25 years, leaving me devastated and with no mares surviving either.  Anxious to continue on with Azzie’s valued and proven line, I repurchased the elegant part arab mare – Sweet Honesty Cameo (who has founded the next chapter in my breeding programme)
Sweet Honesty Cameo is an exceptional broodmare. Her second foal was a lovely natured chestnut colt, sired by Shiranna Dartagnan a ¾ Arabian. This colt was named SWEET HONESTY CZAR, my stallion at stud today.
SWEET HONESTY CZAR had all the attributes of being a top sire, and he is certainly proving that in a short time.  CZAR is rising five year old this coming season, and has so far sired seven beautiful foals.  CZAR (like his grandsire Azzie) runs with his mares, he too is a gentleman, CZAR is 14.3hd, a lovely iridescent chestnut and there is one word for his temperament – impeccable.  CZAR is stamping all his foals, with his beautiful head, conformation, movement and that lovely quiet nature.

Sweet Honesty MADAAHL, stunning chestnut yearling colt, sired by Sweet Honesty Czar, out of 16hd Th.bred mare.  MADAAHL should be mature 15.2+hd, as well as lovely sound conformation and beauty, Madaahl has his sire’s impeccable nature.  Would excel in show, dressage or show jumping.  Madaahl is for sale for $2,000 which includes gelding.

Sweet Honesty MAZEEK, stunning correct and typy ¾ Arabian colt foal, sired by Sweet Honesty Czar, out of the beautiful grey pure Arabian mare MOWAAR.  MAZEEK will grey out, he should mature 14hd, he too has beautiful conformation and that eyecatching Arab floating movement. Sweet Honesty ZAHRA, very pretty and exceptionally quiet nature, chestnut filly weanling, sired by Sweet Honesty Czar, out of Calwalla Samantha, Riding Pony mare. Zahra should mature 14hd apprx. Zahra is eligible reg. Part Welsh.  ZAHRA has beautiful conformation, movement and that superb quiet nature, would suit show, pony club, breeding. $1,800.

Sweet Honesty KAMAHL, stunning ¾ arab colt weanling, sired by FENWICK PHANTOM (Pure Crabbet Arabian), out of the exceptional Azzie daughter, Sweet Honesty Cameo.  Kamahl a chestnut, should mature 15d. He is a solid built, stunningly beautiful colt with that same lovely arab movement. He is a real show off, and has the attitude to really show himself off.  KAMAAHL would suit Endurance, show, performance, or breeding. KAMAHL is offered for sale, $1,800.
